TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

To meet state requirements, Alliance Security’s Training Academy offers a portfolio of physical and theoretical training courses to advance the employee knowledge and depth of security best practices recognized by state authorities as well as industry practices.   With classroom and online teaching platforms and offerings, Alliance Security provides attendees with the knowledge and tools required to serve in a host of security roles considering technology, theories, and best practices.  

8-Hour Pre-Assignment Training: The 8-hour pre-assignment training course for security guards is a focused and essential training program designed to equip individuals with foundational knowledge and skills required to excel in their roles as security professionals. This comprehensive training course prepares aspiring security guards for their roles by covering key topics in security procedures, safety protocols, and communication skills.  Participants will gain a solid understanding of their responsibilities and the fundamental principles of effective security operations. The course is necessary when applying for a state security license. 

 

16-Hour On-The-Job Training: The 16-hour On-The-Job training course follows the 8-Hour Pre-Assignment Training is the final step in completing security guard training in specific states.  This course covers many of the same topics explored in the 8-hour pre-assessment course; however, uses a hands-on approach.  As a result, this training goes beyond the theoretical approach of the classroom and helps participants learn how to apply knowledge in a practical, real-world environment. 

 

8-Hour Annual In-Service Training: The 8-hour In-Service Training course is required annually to maintain a State security guard license where applicable. The Alliance Security Training Academy provides classes weekly to an individual seeking to maintain license compliance.  Training covers all state required topics as well as standards and best practices.  

 

DHS 40-Hour Enhanced Training: Alliance Security offers 40-hour Dept. of Homeland Security advanced training for active security license holders.  The 40-hour class provides advanced training in criminal and civil law, information gathering, terrorist indicators, security and safety planning, fundamentals of patrol, weapons of mass destruction awareness and basic first aid.  

 

DHS Active Shooter Training: DHS Active Shooter Training, often referred to as "Active Shooter Preparedness Training," is a type of training designed to prepare individuals, organizations, and law enforcement agencies on how to respond effectively in the event of an active shooter situation. The training provides guidance on how to minimize casualties, protect lives, and ensure safety during such emergencies. This training is available in-person or web-based.

 

DHS Stop the Bleed Training: Stop the Bleed training empowers security personnel to serve as a first responder to take immediate action and mitigate life-threatening incidents before professional medical help arrives. This training is available in-person or web-based.

 

Basic Life Support Training: Alliance Security provides basic CPR, First Aid, and AED training which allows our students to serve as first responders in the event there is a medical emergency while serving in their position.  By equipping participants with the knowledge and skills needed to provide immediate life saving measures, students are schooled on a host of real-world scenarios and how to take action during life safety events.  

 

Customer Service Training: Customer service training is a crucial aspect of ensuring that individuals in the security industry are equipped with the necessary skills to provide effective and professional customer service while maintaining a focus on safety and security.  This course instructs participants on the key concepts and building blocks to project a wide range of important customer service skills and techniques in any environment. 

 

Threat Mitigation Training:  Combining technology, physical search protocols and theory, Alliance Security offers threat mitigation training for application at entertainment venues or for a corporate environment.  Best practices are covered as well as physical search protocols in the areas of alarm resolution, artful concealment, divesting practices, layered security, and secondary screening practices.  This training is available upon customer request and is offered in a live setting only.
